About

Hi there!

I am an anthropologist with over a decade of experience using qualitative and quantitative methods to understand the cultural and political dynamics of human behavior. My research experience has spanned academia, health tech, government, and nonprofits in the US and abroad.

Currently, I am a Lead Researcher - Customer and Market Insights at Collective Health, where I study the ecosystem of health benefit professionals (HR teams, consultants) and enable our product teams to develop the right solutions for their needs. Previously, I was an Experience Research & Strategy Director in the Chief Experience Office at Elevance Health, where I leveraged human-centered design principles to design and improve consumer experiences with healthcare products and services.

My academic research has explored the relationship between language, gender, and politics in India and the U.S. My PhD dissertation (UCLA, 2021) examined how women in the rural Indian Himalayas use their multilingual repertoires to enact political change within state and non-state forms of developmental governance. My research has been published in the Journal of Linguistic Anthropology, International Journal of the Sociology of Language, Texas Linguistic Forum, Anthropology News, and multiple edited volumes.
